Reggae Sumfest takes place July 18-24
Thursday, March 18, 2010
NOW celebrating 17 years, Reggae Sumfest, which has been dubbed the "greatest reggae festival on earth", is scheduled to take place in Montego Bay, Jamaica, from July 18-24, 2010.
Reggae Sumfest, according to a release from the organisers, enjoyed record-breaking numbers last year. The line-up included dancehall stalwarts Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Mavado, and Busy Signal, international stars Ne-Yo, Keri Hilson, Jazmine Sullivan and Toni Braxton, reggae favourites Queen Ifrica, Etana, Tarrus Riley, Jah Cure, and Morgan Heritage, and a rare performance by Inner Circle.
The buzz has already started as patrons speculate who will be featured on the line-up for the 2010 staging of the week-long event.
Reggae Sumfest kicks off on Sunday, July 18 with a beach party on July 18, then moves to the main concert grounds on Thursday, July 22, with three nights of music.
