Riquey Bingham making strides at home and aboard

The Reggae brand continues to have an impact both locally and overseas. One of the newest kids on the block seeking to make a name for himself on making such an impact is Riquey Bingham.

His video for his single, Your Body Girl, was released on local TV just over a month ago. According to the artiste, the video is currently getting steady rotation on Hype TV and on CVM's Hitlist. It is also getting good rotation in New York via CIN and other Tri-state Caribbean Network, Riquey notes.

Produced by Bingham Production, the single from the video shot in Rose Hall Montego Bay and directed by Nordia Rose, is currently available for digital download from major retail stores online such as iTunes, AmazonMP3, Napster, and more.

Riquey is currently working on new singles such as Addicted, Ride with Me, Mama you, Come Back To Me and When You Leave Me, and recently featured on a song entitled She Naah Go Home with Mr Lexx and Captain Barkley.

The budding singer/songwriter, born Ricardo Anthony Bingham in Marldon, St James, attended Anchovy High School where he developed the love for Reggae and Dancehall music.

In 2001, Riquey led the trio, MMJ (Money Making Jamaicans) to what he calls a fair share of success. Recording at King Jammy's Studio in Waterhouse, teamed up with Ward 21 to create a hot beat for their hit single Position, which was recorded at Mixing Lab Recording studio. After MMJ broke up, Riquey enrolled in Montego Bay Community College where he majored in Management Information Systems.

He migrated to the United States in 2006 and completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Computer Information's System from Monroe College, New Rochelle, New York.

After graduating Riquey decided to focus on music again and, equipped with lots of demos and an album entitled Angel, focused on his dream. He is currently working with super producers and musicians, intending to make an impact on Reggae and Dancehall music.
