With a string of hits, Sizzla rocked last Saturday’s instalment of the popular FootLoose party series. Dubbed Fashion Ova Style and held at the Mas Camp in Kingston, the event attracted a large turnout of patrons.

Solid as a Rock, Just One of Those Days, Woman I Need You, and Ain’t Gonna See Us Fall were among the hits that Sizzla reeled out that kept patrons on a musical high.

Prior to Sizzla’s performance, patrons grooved to retro hits courtesy of ZJ Liquid and DJ Marvin. Utilising their musical skills, the DJs dug deep into their musical archives and unleashed one hit after the other.

Kevon Spence, brand manager for Stone’s Ginger Wine — sponsors of the event, commented about the night’s proceedings.

"FootLoose is really an event that you come out to and enjoy yourself, and Stone’s is all about feeling good, enjoying yourself and having a good time," he said. "FootLoose has grown over the years and so too has Stone’s."

Radio jock Arif Cooper, who was in attendance, also commented.

"Even though I am not playing, I am just here to support. Footloose is one of the premiere oldies parties and you are guaranteed a good vibe," he said.

A first-timer to FootLoose was racer Matthew Gore.

"I was invited by Sizzla and I am really surprised by the turnout. This is actually my first time coming to FootLoose," said Gore.

Sylvia Campbell from Barbican said FootLoose was her way to unwind after a week of hard work.

"I work very hard and whenever there’s a retro party I have to be there. Whenever I come, it’s the perfect escape for me to unwind," said Campbell.

Held four times annually, this is the 11th year of the FootLoose party.
