Snoop Lion gets Reincarnated

Saturday, March 02, 2013

RAPPER Snoop Lion says Reincarnated, his first reggae album, will be released on April 23. It features collaborations with pop and rap acts including Chris Brown, Drake, Busta Rhymes and T I.

"This record is all about paying homage and giving respect to those who created and love reggae music, and hopefully introducing it to a whole new audience," Snoop told the AceShowbiz website. "I feel truly honoured to make this album and respect to all who blazed the path for me."

Reincarnated was produced by Major Lazer and Diplo, one of the hottest production teams in pop music. Among its tracks are No Guns Allowed, a duet with Snoop Lion and his daughter Cori B.

The rapper, who rose to prominence 20 years ago as controversial gangsta rapper Snoop Dogg, said he had a life-changing experience while visiting Jamaica last year.

His documentary, also titled Reincarnation, will be released in United States theatres on March 15.
