TARRUS Riley is number one on the jamaicans.com website's 'Top 10 Best New Reggae Artistes of The Last 10 Years'.

The list was released this week and is dominated by singers and roots-reggae acts.

No criteria was given for the selections. Efforts by Splash to contact the website's senior editor Steve Smith were unsuccessful.

Riley had a banner year in 2006 with the release of Parables, a hit-laden album that included the ballad She's Royal.

He has maintained that promise with a number of hits such as Good Girl Gone Bad and My Day.

The jamaicans.com's 'Top 10 Best New Reggae Artistes' are as follows:

1) Tarrus Riley

2) Queen Ifrica

3) Alborosie

4) Raging Fyah

5) Duane Stephenson

6) Gentleman

7) Chronixx

8) Romain Virgo

9) Protoje

10) Kabaka Pyramid
