Wednesday, October 31, 2012
SPANISH Court Hotel in New Kingston is the venue for the Rotary Club of Kingston’s Wine and Cheese Collectibles Auction scheduled for Thursday, November 8.
“This is a great opportunity for persons to pick up their Christmas gifts or add to their personal collection,” said Wendy Birthwright, fund-raising chair of the Rotary Club of Kingston.
She said among the items to be auctioned include vinyl records, a golf set, FIFA memorabilia, commemorative plates, and art pieces.
“Glynn Manley, widow of Michael Manley, has donated some pieces to our auction, as well as Mike Fennell,” she said.
“There’ll be three surprise delight auctions too.”
All proceeds are in aid of the club's community services. The auction starts at 6:30 pm and tickets are $1,500 each. Extra parking will be provided at the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation’s parking lot across from the hotel.
