Yendi, Angele Smith for Pulse CMS this evening

Sunday, September 05, 2010

Yendi Phillipps, Jamaica's history-making first runner-up to Miss Universe 2010, will make her first public appearance in Jamaica, since her Las Vegas triumph a week and a half ago, at Pulse's Caribbean Model Search finals this evening.

The event, scheduled for the Wyndham Kingston hotel, beginning at 7:30 pm, will not only be Pulse's search for outstanding new model talent, it will also be a virtual homecoming for the most celebrated queen in the history of Jamaica's contenders at Miss Universe.

The entertainment package headlined by hot Bajan international pop star Shontelle, will also feature up and coming Jamaican act Angele Smith. Over 100 finalists will be showing off designer fashions as they compete for the Jamaica Fashion Model, The Male Face of Jamaica, The Jamaica Petite and the Jamaica Full Figure model titles. Angele Smith will be performing his new single 'Let Me Know'.

CMS 2010 has all the makings of a spectacular event, with Yendi's celebration being the icing on the cake of this event, which has famously produced so many of Jamaica's and the Caribbean's superstar models. The long list includes Kimberley Mais, Jaunel McKenzie, Althea Laing, Lois Samuels, Romae Gordon, Lincoln Wynter, Angela Neil, Sunna Gottshalk, Carla Campbell, Nikki Vassell, Nadine Willis, Justine Willoughby, Oraine Barrett, Gaye McDonald, Parisa Fitzhenley, Jeneil Williams and, in the past year, Sedene Blake. According to Pulse, this years' group has the potential to produce new stars and the world of fashion will certainly be waiting to welcome Pulse's latest model talent to the international industry.
