PATRONS attending the second staging of Wa-Ta Fantasy Foam and Water Party (WTF) were left disappointed as police brought the event to a halt at 2:00 am.

The event was held at Premier Plaza in the heart of Half-Way-Tree, Kingston, on October 19.

Adrian Montague, promoter of WTF, said a late start to the event was the cause.

“We want to use this opportunity to apologise to the patrons for the abrupt ending of the event. It was beyond our control. Part of the cause was that it was held at a car park and the vehicles took a while to vacate the area, which resulted in a late start to the event,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

“We know our patrons were really looking forward to seeing Skye Diamond perform. We made attempts to get even 30 minutes more to make her perform, but the peace officers didn't allow it,” he continued.

Skye Diamond, an emerging deejay, is the teenage daughter of dancehall singjay Mavado. She too was disappointed.

“I had something planned for my fans and I'm really disappointed that I didn't get to perform. The party was going on great and a lot of people who were on their way to the event had to turn back because of the abrupt end,” said Diamond.

Meanwhile, for the patrons who turned up early, they had a whale of a time. All were being entertained by the selections of DJ Javi and DJ Bigga Five from Venom Sound.

Britania Campbell was attending for the second time

“Wa-Ta Fantasy Foam and Water Party has always delivered. The last staging was great and this staging was even better,” she said.

The next staging for Wa-Ta Fantasy Foam and Water Party is scheduled for the August 15, 2020 at Oneil's Place on Hagley Park Road in Kingston.
