On Saturday, July 1, Kimberly Brown added another fitness title to her name after winning the Miss Power Play Bikini Competition.

The 26-year-old athlete walked away with $60,000 cash in addition to other prizes.

“I am really pleased with the victory. Mark McDonald is my trainer at Spartan and together we put in a lot of work. I am an athlete so training wasn't hard for me as training is a part of my lifestyle. I am always not far from stage condition,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

Brown is no stranger to fitness competition as she also won the Miss Jamaica Bikini International Competition in May.

She is currently preparing for the Jamaica Amateur Body Building and Fitness Competition later this year.

Miss Power Play Bikini Competition, which is in its third staging, was held at the American International School of Kingston on Hope Road in St Andrew.

Organiser Mark McDonald said the fitness competition lived up to expectation, attracting little over 500 patrons.

“It went really well and we got the support that we were hoping,” he said.

Second place went to Avernell Modest, while third place went to Christina Gonzales.

Earlier in the evening, Jevon Dacosta won the Power Lifting Competition in the male section with Venique Harris copping the female title.
