DJ Ricky Redz and ZJ Electra are slated to provide the entertainment for Ultimate Car Show and Family Fun Day in in Hayes, Clarendon today.

The event starts at 11:00 am.

“I'm an automotive enthusiast myself and I wanted to involve the community so that's why it's both a family [and a]fun day, where everyone can bring out their kids and see the cars as well,” Andrew Williams, event organiser, told Jamaica Observer.

Social media personality Dutty Berry and Miss Clarendon Festival Queen 2017 Vivianne Miller will be hosting the inaugural occasion.

The car show itself is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm, offering $120,000 in prizes across several categories including Crowd Favourite, Best Classic, Best Interior, Best Engine Bay, Best Rims, and Lowest Ride.

“The community is very interested in Clarendon's Ultimate Car Show and Family Fun Day, since something like this doesn't happen too often in the area — especially since we've reached out to a local boy's home. For the car show, we've had good feedback due to our online entry system,” Williams said.

Williams said they would be accepting entries on the day as well.

“We will have a cut-off point, but we're accommodating those who have work or business during the morning but want to come in and participate in the afternoon.”

The cars will be judged by a panel of three, including Nic Lue, one of the founding members of influential Kingston car club Skunk Nation.
