Dovey Magnum building her brand

Dovey Magnum is steadily building her fan base with her latest single Bawl Out.

“I really love and appreciate all my fans; to me they are more like family — a nation. That's why I call them Bawl Out Nation. My fan base has grown tremendously over the past year. I am truly blessed,” she said.

Released September 29, 2017, Bawl Out is on the Journey Music imprint.

Dovey Magnum is also on a high from her recent performance at the Villa Night Club in Miami, Florida.

The event on January 20, part of a 10-gig date. Her next assignment is today at Kravis Center — Dreyfoos Concert Hall in Florida.

Other dates are booked for New York and Orlando.

Born in Spanish Town, St Catherine, Dovey Magnum (given name Simsky Kimberly Hamilton) grew up in St Ann. She attended Ocho Rios Primary and then the high school in the parish.

While attending high school, she was drawn to music and started a group called Magnum Ladies.

She migrated to the United States in 2002 and made her first recording in 2012. She hasn't looked back since.

Her other tracks include Prayer Me Use And Win, and Mi Nuh Mind.
