Writing on The Wall by Moroccan-American rapper French Montana was released on September 26 by Epic Records. The dancehall track also features rappers Cardi B and Post Malone and Jamaican producer-turned-artiste Rvssian.

Rvssian also produced the single, which is co-written by Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor.

Writing on The Wall is number 44 on the United Kingdom's national chart. It has also made several charts in Europe, including Switzerland, Hungary, Sweden, Slovakia and Norway, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

In 2017, French Montana teamed with British-Jamaican rapper Stefflon Don on the UK Top 10 hit Hurtin Me, which was certified platinum for sales of over 600,000 copies in that country.

French Montana is best known for the 2018 hit song, Unforgettable, a collaboration with Swae Lee. The single peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Writing on The Wall is the first single from Montana's third studio album Montana, which is due in November on Epic Records.

Rvssian, real name Tarik Johnston, has worked with several hip hop and Latin acts. In 2014, his production Passion Whine featuring Puerto Rican singer and Sean Paul, was certified platinum.
