Hylita ready for limelight

Hylita is ready to take his place in the musical spotlight.

The former Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall talent show contestant is now working with talented studio engineer and beat maker Thee Khemist of Thee Khemist Records and Studio Vibes Records fame.

“Thee Khemist is a very talented producer, it's good to have someone like him on my team. Now that I have a producer to work with me full time and hone my skills in the studio I'm recording better songs, and I'm sure it won't be long before I get my big break,” said the singjay.

Hylita is getting ready to drop two new singles Neva Hold We Down and Glory, both songs were produced by Thee Khemist for Thee Khemist Records/Studio Vibes Records and are scheduled to be released on iTunes tomorrow.

“I'm looking forward to the release of these two singles. I want the fans to hear my new sound, it's more melodious and catchy. So far everyone who has heard these songs have given them the thumbs up,” he said.

The hardworking entertainer is also working on his debut EP which is titled B lack Wall Street.

Hylita (given name Damian Bent) grew up in Toll Gate, Clarendon. He began his recording career in 2008 with the release of single titled Shake It which was produced by New Creations Records.

He entered Magnum Kings and Queens competition in 2009. He, however, exited the television talent contest early.
