KEES Dieffenthaller, lead singer of KES the Band, is the headline act of I Love Soca scheduled of Sabina Park in Kingston on Boxing Day.

“It's his first time performing at an I Love Soca event,” Andrew Bellamy, co-promoter, told the Jamaica Observer.

Bellamy said Dieffenthaller has been on the his radar for years.

“We've been trying to get him for years at this time. Finally the pieces just all fell together and I know he's happy to perform. Our reputation has preceded us, so he knows the party and the energy it has,” said Bellamy.

The Boxing Day event will be the third for the year and will see Trinidad and Tobago-born Kees joined by fellow soca star Fadda Fox, best known for his hit Ducking. The latter will be doing hosting duties. Also billed are DJ Smoke Richie RAS, Lantern MD, and King Taj.

“I Love Soca is a staple event. It's a party where you don't have to go overboard. Ladies can throw on a pair of shorts, a nice top, come out to enjoy yourselves and have value for your money,” Bellamy added.
