Singer Keisha Martin shows her passion for Jamaican music on her forthcoming album, For the Love of Reggae , which is being distributed by Beats Galore Records.

Scheduled for release by March, the set is produced by Andre Lloyd.

Martin shared the significance of the album's title.

“We made the album from a place of genuine love for reggae. We felt like people needed to be reminded why they fell in love with the music,” said Kingston-born Martin, who lives in Brooklyn, New York.

She disclosed that For The Love of Reggae has 13 songs, with the lead single being Rocksteady.

“Rocksteady was literally a dream I had that was brought to life with my admiration for Toots and The Maytals and the late Aretha Franklin. I felt the song was about capturing a vibe and energy from yesteryear with a touch of today,” she explained. “I am very appreciative of the reggae genre because it has the ability to uplift others due to its spiritual nature.”
