The fourth staging of Kingston Belle's Boozy Brunch was a success. Held recently at the OPA Greek Restaurant and Reggae Mill Bar at Devon House in Kingston, the event attracted scores of young and hip professionals.

Owner and EIC of Kingstonbelle.com, Rashade St Patrick, 25, explained the concept behind the event.

“The idea behind the concept is to create a platform from which Kingston belle can effectively endorse Jamaican creatives and creativity, integrate life with technology and promote cohesive collaborations between lifestyle brands,” said St Patrick.

He explained how the event has evolved.

“At the time I had just signed Melanie Schwapp and Kaci Fennell to do blogs under the Kingston Belle Collective. Boozy Brunch was curated as a catalyst for sharing our social and epicurean perspectives with a physical community. Over the years, the platform has matured more into the founding ethos of the brand, effectively presenting and promoting who's new and next in the Jamaican culinary and creative industries.”

At the recent event, scores of persons came out to enjoy good vibes while munching on French pastries among other delectable delights.

“Our demographic consists of a cool coterie of brand Jamaica champions and enthusiasts between the ages of 24 and 40. We are targeting young professionals, post-graduates, creatives, entrepreneurs, expatriates and diplomats. A slice of every section on the make-things-happen food-chain.”

As it relates to entertainment offerings, St Patrick said: 'At every staging there's a fashion presentation married with another form of creativity. Be it dance, live music or the arts. At our last staging we presented pieces from JohnEli DaCosta and Kristia Franklin to Jaden Smith's Watch Me. It was a captivating stand-still moment that all enjoyed I believe'.

There will be multiple offerings of Boozy Brunch and a spin-off event this year.

“Our location is usually kept secret. Coordinates are released in our marketing each cycle. However, I can divulge that we are locking down the last Sunday of each month, as we're also introducing our new spin-off called #Table25. This will alternate with Kingston belle's Boozy Brunch as bi-monthly events that all share the DNA of doing right by Brand Jamaica,” said St Patrick.

The 25-year-old St Patrick is a writer, conceptualiser and digital media specialist who boasts seven solid years in fashion, technology, art and public relations. With this background, his curation of KingstonBelle.com makes it the Caribbean's foremost specialty digital destination for literature, art and commerce.

Former beauty title holder Kaci Fennell-Shirley and social media sensation Quite Perry are among those spotted at last Sunday's staging of Boozy Brunch.
