In celebration of the 20th anniversary of her Grammy-winning album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill , Lauryn Hill will launch a 30-date tour of North America on July 5 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She is scheduled to perform in 29 states in the United States, as well as do two shows in Canada.

The tour is down to close October 5 in St Louis, Missouri.

Hill, 42, has not released an album since the landmark 1998 set which is a blend of soul, hip hop and reggae. Several Jamaican musicians worked on The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill including drummer Squiddly Cole, guitarist Earl “Chinna” Smith, saxophonist Dean Fraser and trombonist Nambo Robinson.

It won five awards at the 1999 Grammys including Album of the Year and Best R&B Song for Doo Wop (That Thing).

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was recorded after Hill split from The Fugees, a three-member hip hop group that had a massive seller with their 1996 album The Score.

She will perform Sunday at Kayafest in San Bernardino, California.
