THE legacy of South African reggae star Lucky Dube is remembered through a double compact disc set titled The Times We've Shared .

Released last week, it commemorates the 10th anniversary of the artiste's death at the hands of carjackers in Johannesburg.

The Times We've Shared is distributed by Gallo Music South Africa, the company that played an important role in Dube's rise as an international force.

One of Lucky Dube's last major live shows was the opening ceremony at the Cricket World Cup in Trelawny in March 2007. He was murdered in October that year.

Inspired by the music of Peter Tosh and Jimmy Cliff while growing up in apartheid-era South Africa, Lucky Dube left a massive catalogue of albums and songs. His studio albums included Think About The Children, Victims and Taxman. The last is arguably his finest work.

Live In Jamaica, released in 2000, captures him in concert at the 1991 Reggae Sunsplash.
