The first live show in the popular Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall series returns tonight on TVJ . This is the 11th season of the talent competition.

The winners of Season 1 were Baby Tash and Singer Jah.

“It's that time when Magnum Kings and Queens tek charge of our screens and tek charge of dancehall, presenting young talents with another opportunity to showcase their skills to the people,” said Telecia Lindo-Johnson, marketing manager, J Wray & Nephew Limited.

“Get ready to grab your magnum, tek charge, and enjoy,” she continued.

Since its launch in 2008, quite a few of the competitors have gone on to enjoy mainstream success. Among them are the 2015 King of the Dancehall winner Devin Di Dakta (who received a Grammy nomination in 2016, earned a Billboard charting single in 2017, and is now signed to California-based Downtown Records); Tanto Black; Jah Bouks; and Specialist.

The 2017 winners were Magnum King — Symatic, and Magnum Queen — Suspense.
