CRAZY fun, lots of good vibes, and a safe environment to let loose are what promoters of the pool party Dip are promising patrons. The event takes place today at 4A Kirkland Avenue, East Kirkland Heights in Red Hills.

This is the first staging of what is expected to become an annual affair. It is promoted by popular disc jock Chris Dymond of Code Red, Dymond Entertainment Squad, and New York-based Unruly Family.

“We have some crazy things in store. Girls will be winning cash just by showing up in their swimwear. It will be a lot of safe fun and it's an early thing to enjoy,” Dymond told Jamaica Observer.

Dubbed the Swimwear and Sandals edition, the event will feature the musical stylings of Code Red, ZJ Liquid and controversial selector Foota Hype. It runs from 4:00 pm to midnight.

Dymond, who has been with the Code Red sound system for several years, has been making a name for himself on the dancehall scene. In October, he celebrated his birthday in fine style with a sold-out party held in New York.

On the philanthropic side, Dymond has formed the Chris Dymond Give Back Foundation, which assists several children's homes with donations and Christmas treats each year.
