Jamaican actress Parisa Fitz-Henley will play Meghan Markle in Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance , a movie based on the relationship between Britain's Prince Harry and the American starlet who are due to marry in May.

According to Yahoo News, British actor Murray Fraser will play Harry in the movie, scheduled to air on the Lifetime channel in March/April.

Buckingham Palace announced the couple's engagement in November after months of speculation in American and British media.

“Harry & Meghan chronicles the courtship and love story between a beloved prince and his new fiancée. The film will examine the history of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps, and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan's life as a divorced American actress,” Yahoo News reported.

The 41-year-old Fitz-Henley was born in Kingston and attended St Andrew High School. She won Pulse's Fashion Model of the Year in 1996 and has been acting professionally since 2002.

Fitz-Henley has established herself through consistent roles on top American series including Grey's Anatomy, House of Cards, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones.
