THE police are currently investigating the death of producer Ralston “Tru Blue” Wellington, who was shot and killed at his Maxfield Avenue home in St Andrew on Friday evening.

According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force's information arm — Corporate Communications Unit — at about 6:15 pm, explosions were heard coming from the Swettenham Road, Kingston 13 home of the dancehall producer.

On investigation by his family members, the 44-year-old's body was found in his yard with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The police were called in and the body subsequently removed.

No motive has yet been established for the killing.

Tru Blue, who was off the music radar for close to a decade, co-produced Whine Yuh Waist Suh by Vybz Kartel and Don Andre last year.
