Despite not receiving the turnout promoters had anticipated, last weekend's staging of Skimpii short shorts bikini beach party was entertaining.

Promoted by HD Entertainment and Highly Dynamic Entertainment, the event was held at Ultra Beach in Seaforth, Hellshire, in Portmore.

“We didn't get the crowd that we expected because there were other events happening that same day. Despite that, the patrons who turned out had a good time and the music was great. Non-stop dancing and high energy,” promoter HD Boss told the Jamaica Observer.

HD Boss spoke about the highlight of the event.

“Di Unit gave a top-class, high-energy performance that had patrons railing and dancing. The music from the other DJs included R&B, dancehall, Afrobeat, pop and reggae,” he said.

Aside from Di Unit, the musical energy was maintained by the likes of No Limit, Fire Chad, DJ 3eez, DJ Banka, Harry Shotta and Shell Boss.

Among those spotted at the event were recording artistes Destiny Sparta, Tanto Blacks and Shizzle Sherlock.

The first Skimpii was held in October 2016 and it has increased from two to three events annually. The next staging happens on October 7 at the same venue.
