KINGSTON, Jamaica – Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) Dunstan Bryan today reported that of the $2.8 billion allotted to the ministry for the COVID-19 response, approximately $2.5 billion has already been used.

The permanent secretary made the disclosure today at a digital press briefing conducted by the MOHW.

“As at today's date, we have utilised of that amount of $2.8 billion approximately $2.5 billion, leaving us with a balance of approximately $300 million.

“However, we are now in negotiations with the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service for an additional sum to be made available to the MOHW over the next six months.
