A 52-year-old farmer from Manchester has finally come forward to claim the record $240 million Lotto Jackpot.

Supreme Ventures said in a statement that the man they referred to only as 'Mr S Gayle' visited the lottery company's New Kingston headquarters earlier today to claim his winning from the draw held on February 10.

According to the release, after the draw, Gayle told his friends he was “going home to have a bath and go to bed.” Once home, he signed the back of his winning ticket and locked it away safely.

The winning numbers were: 6, 7, 27, 33, 34, 35 and Bonus Ball 12. Gayle said that he purchased these numbers consistently. He added that he has been purchasing Lotto since its inception in 1994.

Gayle said that he remained "very calm" after discovering that he had won and asked why he took so long to claim, he explained, “I decided to take the time to relax and sort myself out.”

Gayle plans to invest most of the money in real estate and farming.
