$73 million security contract approved for Education ministry

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Cabinet approved a three-year contract valued at $73.1 million to Quest Security Limited for the provision of security services at the Ministry of Education’s three main locations.

These are at the central office at National Heroes Circle, the Cainwood Centre, and at 56 Duke Street.

Minister with responsibility for Information, Senator Sandrea Falconer, made the disclosure at Wednesday’s Jamaica House press briefing.

Meanwhile, approval was also given for the award of a contract valued at

US$539,853 ($48 million) to TWD Technologies Limited, for the installation of a De-ethaniser Tower at the Petrojam Oil Refinery in Kingston.

TWD Technologies Limited will design, supply and supervise the installation and commissioning of the de-ethaniser tower at the refinery located at 96 Marcus Garvey Drive.
