KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have set a friendly international date with east African nation Kenya to be played in Connecticut, USA, on August 25.
This game follows another friendly set for the FIFA calendar date of August 15, against Central American outfit El Salvador at the RFK Stadium in Washington.
Only two weeks ago, the JFF was forced to squash talks that it was near finalising negotiations for a match against west African country Liberia on July 28.
The match between the 63rd-ranked Jamaicans and the 125th Kenya has received the approval from US Soccer, plus all contractural matters have been finalised, JFF boss Captain Horace Burrell confirmed from Newcastle in England on today.
The Boyz will be using both August games to prepare for their back-to-back CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches against the mighty USA on September 7 in Kingston and four days later in Ohio.
Jamaica and the USA are tied on four points apiece to top the group with Guatemala and Antigua and Barbuda trailing on one point each.
