INDECOM activates toll free line to report police abuses

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) says it will activate a toll free line today.

According to INDECOM the line was established to report incidents involving members of the security forces or other agents of the State, which result in the death or injury to persons or the abuse of someone’s rights or other related matters.

INDECOM commissioner, Terrence Williams, made the announcement yesterday.

The numbers are Digicel: 1888-935-5550 and LIME: 1888-991-5555.

The toll free line will operate all day.
