18-y-o shot dead in Hanover bar

HANOVER, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the Lucea Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) in Hanover are probing the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in his community on Tuesday.

Dead is 18-year-old Ryan Jones of Santoy district in the parish.

Reports are that Jones was a patron at a bar about 8:30 pm when a lone gunman approached and opened gunfire at him.

The police were alerted and on their arrival, Jones was seen with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
