200m is my favourite, Bolt warns
Tuesday, August 07, 2012 | 10:19 AM
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Olympic 100metre champion Usain Bolt once again reminded the world of his immense talent cruising to an easy win in the men's 200m heats this morning.
Coming hot on the heels of his scintillating 100m record run, Bolt sounded an ominous warning saying that the 200m was always his favourite and told reporters in London this morning that he continues to enjoy the event.
"I'm always happy so I'm just enjoying it. It was an easy run. It's my favourite event," he said.
The world record holder told reporters that despite the accolades and high expectations he tries not to yield pressure.
"I know what comes with winning, success, so I just try to enjoy it, you don't want to block it out, that's joy. It gives you confidence," said Bolt.
"There's one more step. I'm happy and looking forward to the next race," the Olympic 100m double winner added.
Bolt's training partner Yohan Blake also made easy work of the qualifiers completing his 200m heats in 20.38 seconds.
"I did what my coach said and qualified. I'm feeling good, that's why they call me the beast. The track is fast. I appreciate anything is possible," said Blake.
