62-year-old man dies in Mandeville car crash

Mandeville, Manchester — Sixty-two-year-old Donald Banton of Greenvale Housing Scheme in Mandeville died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision on the Spur Tree main road yesterday.

The Mandeville police report that about 1:25 am, Banton was driving a Daihatsu motorcar along the road towards Mandeville. 

According to the police, on reaching a section of the roadway, he collided with a motor truck that was travelling in the opposite direction and overturned into a ditch. He sustained multiple injuries and was assisted to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
