99-year-old man dies in fire

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A 99-year-old man is dead after a fire of unknown origin destroyed his three- room board and zinc structure house in the Springfield District of New Market, St Elizabeth yesterday.

Dead is Kenneth Brewster also known as 'Coaly'.

Reports are that around 6:00pm, citizens saw fire coming from the house and alerted the police and fire Department.

The fire team that responded but had difficulties accessing the fire because of the terrain.

When they went on the scene, the charred remains believed to be that of Brewster, who lived alone, was found discovered.
