MILAN (AP) — Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari scored second-half goals, leading AC Milan to a 2-0 upset of Barcelona on Wednesday night in the first leg of their Champions League second-round matchup.
Boateng put the seven-time champions ahead in the 57th minute after Cristian Zapata appeared to handle Riccardo Montolivo's pass in a buildup.
Muntari scored in the 81st to help Milan to its first win over Barcelona in eight games.
Barcelona, which has won three of the last seven European titles, had not lost by two goals since a 3-1 defeat to Real Betis in the Copa del Rey on January 19, 2011.
The second leg of the total-goals series will be in Spain on March 12.
