KINGSTON, Jamaica — The State-owned oil refinery PetroJam today disclosed that Aegean Marine Petroleum (AMP) has settled in full, a payment of US$370,000 owed to the Jamaican company.

Petrojam, in a statement today, said the disclosure is further to a media statement issued last week in response to questions raised in Parliament regarding amounts owed to Petrojam by AMP, which recently filed for bankruptcy protection.

“PetroJam had previously indicated that all amounts owed for deliveries made to Aegean received prior to Sunday, November 4, were fully settled; and full payment was expected for the last delivery made on November 4, valued at approximately US$370,000. The payment was received today,” PetroJam said.

Petrojam's bunkering operations includes a supply agreement with Aegean, an international company, through its local subsidiary Aegean Bunkering Jamaica Ltd, for sale of bunker fuels for vessels outside of Kingston.
