ST JAMES, Jamaica — A security guard employed at the Sangster International Airport here was charged with unlawful possession of property on Sunday after he was found with a bottle of perfume that he could not account for.

He is 21-year-old Jason Larmond of Wilson Valley district in Warsop, Trelawny.

Reports from the police Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) are that about 10:00 am, a team was called to the Domestic Terminal Security Checkpoint where a prohibited item – a 100ml bottle of Chanel Bleu perfume – was found on the security guard who was coming off the ramp.

CCU said Larmond was unable to provide the police with information as to how he obtained the item and was subsequently arrested and charged.

He is scheduled to appear in the St James Parish Court on August 15.
