Ambris century guides Windies A to 333-6 at Lunch

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Vincentian Sunil Ambris enhanced his growing reputation with his fifth first class century to guide West Indies A to 333-6 at Lunch on day two of their first 'Test' against Sri Lanka A here Thursday.

Ambris (106) shared a 135-run fifth wicket stand with the 28 year-old Guyanese Vishaul Singh (81). Singh fell midway the extended morning session for 81, having faced 219 balls and hit four fours. Ambris went just before lunch, having faced 156 balls and slammed 12 fours.

Rahkeem Cornwal, 25, and Damion Jacobs, yet to score, were unbeaten at the Lunch break.

Left-arm orthodox spinner Malinda Pushpakumara, 2-92, off spinner Shehan Jayasuriya, 1-43, fast bowlers Asitha Fernando,1-35, and Chamika Karunaratne 1-44 have been the successful bowlers so far.
