Atkinson fourth in breaststroke semi final

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson finished in a tie for fourth place in her breaststroke but is still in with a chance to make the final depending on time.
The 23-year-old Atkinson, who is competing in her third Olympics and is seeking to be the third Jamaican swimmer to make it to a swimming final after Andrew Phillips in the 200m Individual Medley at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles and Janelle Atkinson in the 400m freestyle four years ago in Beijing, China.
She will be in a swim off for the 8th position for the finals.
