Monday, September 03, 2012 | 12:57 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A body was today found floating face down in the Rio Cobre, at a section of the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine.

Eyewitness on the scene speculate that the body, found in the nude, is that of a male but police are yet to confirm the gender.

Police and a large crowd are now gathered at the location close to Flat Bridge where the body was found.

"This morning people were passing and saw the body floating and alerted the police," said one woman in the large crowd.

Police are in the meantime making preparations to remove the body.

The discovery has caused a traffic pile up in the Gorge as curious motorist converge at the scene to glimpse of the body.
