KINGSTON, Jamaica— The Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine has been closed to facilitate the removal of the body of a trailer truck from the Rio Cobre.

The National Works Agency said the trailer overturned this morning and the removal process will take some time to be completed.

According to NWA's Communication Manager, Stephen Shaw, the operations require the services of a wrecking company with specialised heavy-duty equipment to attempt to lift the trailer, which ran over a side of Flat Bridge.

The bridge is now inaccessible.

Motorists are being encouraged to use alternative routes at this time as it is not yet known how soon the roadway will be reopened.

The North/South Highway, the Sligoville road to Bog Walk and St John's Road through Barry are options for motorists.
