Bolt's spikes worth £20,000 stolen in London

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A pair of running shoes, signed by Olympic Champion Usain Bolt and framed for display with a photo of the athlete after he set the 100 metre world record in 2009 were stolen in South London.

The UK based websites and are reporting that the shoes, identical to those worn when Bolt set the 100m world record in 2009 were stolen from a commercial premises in Gloucester Road, Croydon between 10.30pm on April 26 and 5.45am on April 28.

The orange Puma shoes were reportedly auctioned off during a sporting memorabilia sale at Sotheby’s in November 2012 and are valued at around £20,000.
