Brathwaite hundred lifts Windies to 295-4

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Kraigg Brathwaite’s stubborn century helped West Indies take command of Thursday's first day after Bangladesh spinners threatened in the morning session of the second Test match at Sabina Park.

At the close, the hosts, who were sent to bat first, were 295-4.

Scores: West Indies 295-4 (92 overs)

Brathwaite’s 110 was brought up in 279 deliveries and included nine fours. He was supported by left-hander Shimron Hetmyer, who hit 84 not out from 98 balls.

Hetmyer is set to resume on Friday alongside Roston Chase who is unbeaten on 16. For Bangladesh, off spinner Mehidy Hasan took 3-90.
