KINGSTON, Jamaica — Investigators from the Centre of Investigation of Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse (CISOCA) in Manchester are preparing to interrogate an illegal taxi operator who was held last week in connection with the rape of a 12 year-old girl in the parish.
"The driver is to be questioned sometime today and tomorrow," said Lascelles Taylor, head of the Manchester Police Division.
Taylor said the man, a taxi operator, was arrested after reports were made to the police that he molested the child while he was carrying her home from school.
The child alerted her parents and investigations led to the arrest of the man.
