Child, woman shot dead in Trelawny

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — An eight-year-old boy was one of two people who succumbed to gunshot injuries received when gunmen invaded a house in Kinloss district, Trelawny last night.

He has been identified as Javair Kerr-Lemon.

Also deceased is 25-year-old Kerryann Williams. Four men, who were also injured in the incident, remain in hospital.

Reports from the Falmouth police are that about 7:30 pm, all six were at home when gunmen gained entry and opened fire at them. They received multiple injuries and were taken to hospital, where Kerr-Lemon and Williams were pronounced dead.

Police say investigations are ongoing.
