LOVETA Wilson, otherwise called ‘Cherry’, of Old Bucksfield, Ocho Rios, St Ann was yesterday stabbed to death, allegedly by Ian Lloyd of Pineapple district in the parish.
Lloyd, also known as ‘Ching Sing’, also allegedly attacked the police after killing Wilson and was fatally shot.
The incident unfolded about 1:30 pm. Wilson was reportedly at her home when Lloyd went there. He then attacked and stabbed her several times with a knife. Lloyd also attacked residents who came to Wilson’s aid. The police were alerted and during the process of trying to apprehend him, they too were injured by stones and bottles which Lloyd hurled at them. Four of the lawmen were injured.
The Ocho Rios Police are investigating.
