Commonwealth Games: Javon Francis takes bronze running season's best

GOLD COAST, Australia (CMC) — Javon Francis won bronze for Jamaica in the men's 400m final with a season's best of 45.11 seconds at the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday.

Botswana's Issac Makwala ran 44.35 seconds to claim gold — his first major title, while his compatriot Baboloki Thebe finished second in 45.09s.
