KINGSTON, Jamaica --The Constabulary Communications Network (CCN) has reported that the police officers who were involved in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in the Mountain View area of Kingston Monday have been taken off front line duty.

The removal of the officers is to facilitate an investigation by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) the police say.

Meanwhile, the police say that area remains tense as gunmen from rival gangs continue to trade shots using high powered weapons.
