ST ANN, Jamaica — Three men have been charged with the murder of Chinese businessman Teng Fei Cheng, who was shot dead on February 27, in Brown's Town, St Ann.

Detectives from the Brown's Town Criminal Investigation Branch have now charged three residents of the town with murder. They are 23-year-old merchandiser Orandy Mott, 40-year-old higgler Vivian Campbell and 47-year-old Leabert Piper also a higgler.

Cheng was shot dead last Tuesday as he sat in his parked vehicle at his business place on Top Road in the town.

The men, who were picked up within 24 hours of the crime, are expected to appear before the St Ann Parish Court this week.

In the meantime, head of the St Ann Police Division Senior Superintendent of police Micheal Smith met with Chinese and local business persons of Browns Town and assured them that investigations were almost complete and promised increased police visibility in the town.
