ORACABESSA, St Mary - A couple was burnt to death in a fire which destroyed a section of their house in Oracabessa, St Mary early this morning.
They have been identified as Pamella Baldie, 48, and her 33-year-old common law husband Trace Brown both of Marson Town in Oracabessa.
It’s reported that about 12:40 am, fire was seen coming from a section of the couple’s five bedroom dwelling shortly after loud explosions were heard.
Other occupants of the house escaped the blaze with a few items of furniture and clothing.
The couple’s charred remains were found after firefighters from the Port Maria fire department who were called put out the blaze.
An autopsy is to be done on the bodies to determine the cause of death.
