Curfews imposed in Kingston West, Kingston 13

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have imposed curfews in sections of Trench Town and Admiral Town in Kingston West and Whitefield Town, Kingston 13.

Both curfews began at 5:00 am this morning and will continue until 5:00 am, Saturday according to the police.

The boundaries of the curfew in Kingston West are as follows:

NORTH: Along Lincoln Avenue from Maxfield Avenue to Greenwich Crescent.

SOUTH: Along 3rd Street from Collie Smith Drive continuing onto White Street, Harris Street and Raphael Avenue to Maxfield Avenue.

EAST: Along Greenwich Crescent from Lincoln Avenue continuing onto Collie Smith Drive to 3rd Street.

WEST: Along Maxfield Avenue from Raphael Avenue to Lincoln Avenue.

In Whitefield Town the boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

NORTH: Along Pretoria Road from Bertram Lane to Maxfield Avenue.

SOUTH: Along Fitzgerald Avenue from Maxfield Avenue to Bertram Lane

EAST: Along Maxfield Avenue from Pretoria Road to Fitzgerald Avenue.

WEST: Along Bertram Lane from Fitzgerald Avenue to Pretoria Road.

During the hours of the curfews all individuals within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless authorised in writing by the ground commander, the police cautioned.
