KINGSTON, Jamaica — Drought conditions affecting the island have led to water restrictions across the Corporate Area.

The National Water Commission (NWC) says that the Constant Spring Water Supply System, which serves much of the Corporate Area, will now be shut down between 10:00pm and 4:00am daily.

The downtime has become necessary due to lower inflows from the Hermitage Dam, the NWC says.

Among the affected areas are: Constant Spring and all roads leading off, Constant Spring Gardens, Dunrobin,  Norbrook, Cherry Gardens, sections of Havendale, Half Way Tree, Half Way Tree Road and all roads leading off, Manor Park, Shortwood, Graham Heights, Aylsham, Allerdyce, Acadia, White Hall Gardens, Red Hills Road, Belgrade, Kingswood, Riva Ridge, Eastwood Park Gardens, Stillwell Road, Mannings Hill, Lower Jacks Hill and sections of Millsborough
